I have two weddings in June this year, back to back. As it is a bit over whelming I cannot help to think of God’s glorious picture to us of His wedding Feast. I cannot help but think of two different texts in the Bible.

First of all Matthew 22:1-14 says that “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.” He went out to bring in the people but they were all busy with other things. The king then sent his servants out into the streets and brought in any one who would come. My question is “Are you ready to meet the King and his Son, the groom?” or are you too busy with yourself?

Then in Revelation 21:2 a stunning representative of the “Bride of Christ”. “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coining down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her.” This means that the bride is ready and we are expectant to see Him.

I am wondering today, are you ready? Are you preparing your self like a bride would, for her husband?
