Last week we ended with Romans 7:13 which ends with the words “so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.” We talked about the law pointing out for us the sin in our lives. We know that we are all sinners but until we are told about the law or read it for ourselves we do not realize the nature of our  sin. However, when we finally hear about the law, our sin becomes “utterly” sinful. I like that word, it is very descriptive of how horrible out situation really is. I mean, instead of most of our thinking, “ya, I know that I am a sinner, but it is ok.”; the knowledge of the law creates in us a new appreciation of our wickedness. I hope, every one who reads this post understands that their lives in are danger, unless they do something about their wickedness. PB
